Roli: I actually heard from the promoter at weigh ins about his comments. I told my team that I didn't want to look, hear or talk about it. The fight is the fight, I've had 29 fights including kickboxing & MMA and the only thing that matters is what happens in the cage/ring.

As previously reported here on GRACIEMAG.com, since winning the world championship in the brown / black belt female category and accomplishing what such stalwart competitors as BJ Penn and Robert Lovato Jr have as the few non-Brazilians to win world titles in the most advanced competition belt group, perennial standout Hillary Williams was promoted to black belt by her professors at Westside MMA academy.
Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 05:10PM On June 12th, Matt and Roli awarded their first black belt to World Champion Hillary Williams. Also Mark Sniff was awarded his brown belt. Mark is probably the most dynamic grappler in Arkansas being a great Judo player, leg locker and of course BJJer. Finally Jessica Manzano received her blue belt after lots of hard work and dedication. Congrats Westside!
